2008 ranger caliper slide pin rubber dust boot replacement link?
have a 2008 ranger 6cly 3.0. I changed the brakes and rotors only 10 months ago and they're grinding already. I got them off eBay is much cheaper than autozone but the quality was supposed to be good. Brake fluid and everything should be fine but and I probably only put 6k miles if that, but anyway I gotta change them both again. for now on I'm just keeping pads on hand and checking every ~7 months and just replace them because they're cheap.
Anyway, I need to replace the passenger side slide pin dust boot as shown by red arrow in photo, I don't remember what was wrong with it but I took a photo last time I changed the pads and rotors, I think it's not retracting all the way or something or it's ripped. The lower one which I need is different than the top one. I only need that one. I'm in new jersey and autozone when I enter my truck says they don't carry that part. Maybe eBay or something? Preferably free return shipping in case it's more of a universal one that should fit but a much better price but that I can return free if doesn't fit and then buy the whole 4 piece kit if I must. thanks. |

Re: 2008 ranger caliper slide pin rubber dust boot replacement link?
I think autozone will have the same part just listed under a different vehicle. When I have the caliper off and remove the rubber boot, I'll take the other car to autozone and try and match the part. If they don't have it, I'll just order it and replace it next time I switch pads. I'm not going to take it all apart again just to replace it sooner it should be fine.

I stopped buying auto parts off Ebay. Too many Chinese knockoffs.
