Re: Shocks and struts replacement on 2003 Windstar LX

Video of me replacing the left strut on my 01 Ford Windstar LX. I don't know the names of some of the parts, but just go with it!

It's been a while since I had the van but I tried both Monroe and KYB, but nothing was even close to Motorcraft (OEM). If you don't mind swapping over the springs, get 2 Motorcraft front struts and 2 Motorcraft rear shocks from RockAuto and replace them all to restore original ride quality. It's not very expensive but you will need spring compressors for the fronts. Be very careful if you've never done it before! They should last the rest of the life of the van.
