Ham radio in 2017 pilot
I need to run a wire from the battery into the passenger compartment to just behind the front seat to connect my IC-7000 to 13 VDC. How do I get thru the firewall and into the consol area to run the wire to the rear passenger compartment?

Re: Ham radio in 2017 pilot
After 5 or 6 hours of looking and working on the problem, My Son and I traced the hood release cable thru the side panel on the drivers side, took out the grommet and pulled a single solid copper wire thru the hole up to the engine compartment. We used the solid copper wire attached to some double red/black wiring to pull the desired conductors up to the engine compartment following the path of the hood release cable. The cover of the channel along the driver side door pops off along with the cover for the side panel to run the wire to the area between the first and second row of seats. My IC-7000 is placed on the floor of the pilot where I attach the antenna and power cable. The face is placed on a fixture (home made) that sets in the console storage area. My Hustler antenna is mounted on a home made stainless steel bracket that mounts on the driver side slot between the Pilot body and the tail gate with 4 stainless steel screws. The tail gate closes on the RG-58 cable that runs from the antenna mount to the rig. The base of my modified Hustler antenna is about 40 to 48 inches above the surface of the road. This arrangement has worked well in my old 98 Dodge Durango, Dodge mini van and GMC Acadia. I am about to find out if it will work with the Honda Pilot.
