insulation in roof pillars?
has anyone used insulation in roof pillar and A&B pillars for sound and hot cold weather, help the cab from heating up in the hot sun.
either fiberglass or styrofoam peanuts or expaning spray foam, using dynamat on flat roof surface thank on any tips suggestions or experience on the topic 1986 G body chevy has big area pillars 5" wide by 1.5 thick around the roof |

It seems reasonable, but bear in mind that even the void areas in the body can benefit from a little ventilation. Moisture can condense in a lot of places, and it would be good to be sure it can get out. Spray foam may prevent that from happening, but glass batts or peanuts may allow some air movement. Peanuts may actually move ant make noise, however.
