Replacing Wheel Stud
1996 Chevrolet Lumina APV 3.4L.
The front-left wheel hub only has 2 good studs, which means the minivan is undrivable. I need to replace the bad stud or the whole hub with studs. If I had the money and time, I'd replace the whole hub, but I want to get the minivan drivable as soon as possible. I have a couple of questions. If I replace the hub, what socket size does the axle nut require? But, if possible, can I just replace the stud while the hub is still on the minivan? It looks like I can pound the old stud through and insert the new one from the inside. Has anybody ever done this? |
