2016 1.0L Focus Sudden Oil Pressure Loss
My 2016 Ford Focus SE with the 1.0L Ecoboost Turbo suffered sudden oil pressure loss while driving. It was towed to a mechanic, and they discovered the engine was seized. I researched this issue on the web and it seems very common in this engine. Has anyone else had this issue? What did you do? I cannot afford the $5000 the dealer wants to put a new engine in the car. Will Ford help me out since I am the second owner?
Thanks for any help. Walt |

Unless you have a warranty Ford has no reason to help you on a 8 year old car.

Re: 2016 1.0L Focus Sudden Oil Pressure Loss
Tow things I should have mentioned:
The car has 67,000 miles total on it and has had regular service every 5,000 miles. The issue is known to be a caused by clogging of the oil inlet in the pan due to build up of detritis from the wet timing belt as it ages. |

None of that is relevant. Unless there is a warranty Ford has no reason to help.
