Old cars with transverse springs?
Some old cars (especially Fords) had transverse springs on both axles. On a car with two parallel springs on an axle, one end of the spring is fastened to the frame and one end is fastened to the frame using shackles. I found out that on Ford cars with transverse springs, both ends of springs are fastened to axles using shackles. I watched videos of a man building a speedster using Ford axles. He had to add panhard rod to rear axle so that the car body doesn't move sidewise relative to the axle. Did old cars with transverse springs handle badly on curves?
