Alpine-Renault A110 1971 & 1973
Long time, no posts from me in WIPs section. Gonna try to fix my absence
Teammates at ModellingMaster are working on Alpine A310 Gr4 & Gr5 1/24 full-kits, and after reading through motoring history books I've found that A310 share quite a lot with its predecessor A110 (which is iconic by its own). So I've started building Tamiya A110 kit to fix some issues and prepare parts which can be used in A310 to help my teammates. 1971 by Tamiya and 1973 transkit by https://www.facebook.com/scaleproduction. Tamiya's frame is oversimplified and basically wrong as you can see on photo comparison below. We will start our build with frame making it more like ground truth. |

I love this car and have built the Tamiya kit several times. Can't wait to see what you do with this one.

Continue work on Alpine A110 frame/chassis based on blueprints.
Looks like I was the last one at ModellingMaster to start crafting at CAD. The frame is simplified, but will be improved by hand. So far the frame dimensions are true to Tamiya's and fit on undercarriage. |
