Brake rotors Honda Accord
Hello,
I have a 2019 Honda Accord EX. All 4 brake rotors are rusted. It makes squeaking noise when braking at low speeds and starts vibrating once speeds goes above 50-60 mph. Here are the pictures. Should I change the rotors completely along with brake pads? To note- usual driving didn't happen in winter and due to lockdown. Car just sat for longer than usual period in snow. |

Re: Brake rotors Honda Accord
hey Jersey, welcome to Automotive Forums..
pull the rotors and take to NAPA or CarQuest (now Advance Auto) and have them turned.. they'll machine them clean for way less than purchasing new..plus it sounds like 3 have topical rust, but one might be warped (the vibration/pulsing), so this will be corrected as well.. rotors for your car new, maybe $20-40ea.. cost of turning a rotor, usually $7-10 ea.. but if you buy pads from them; might give you discount on the labor.. hope this helps.. |

Re: Brake rotors Honda Accord
A lot of places have quit turning rotors. Advance (at least in my area) has never turned rotors. The only place I ever got rotors turned was an independent tire shop that isn't even there any more and had quit doing it before that.
