Source for AC compressor for 1993 S10 Blazer
Hello all...I am searching for a replacement compressor for my 1993 S10 Blazer...it is an R12 system and I want to keep it that way...ALL compressors that I have found are prefilled with PAG oil which is not compatible with the mineral oil used in an R12 system...I have looked at Rockauto, NAPA, Autozone, Advance Auto, Orielly Auto, Ebay...NONE of these places have one pre filled with mineral oil...please advise?...contacted 4 seasons directly and they said cannot supply one...is there a source for a compressor that comes with NO oil so I can add mineral oil?

Being R12 is no longer produced is why you are having the issue you are. Everyone is going to send compressors ready for R134.
I understand why you'd want to stay R12 but if you can even find it it is stupid expensive.

Steal is right.. everyone is going to sell a compressor with pag..
R12 and R22 is hard to find, and 3 to 5 times more expensive.. ..stupid, slow internet; you've already stipulated you have product.. hold onto it; it's gold.. so then, you have to either find a local rebuilder for your AC compressor or order the cheapest compressor and flush the PAG out.. |
