P0325 Knock Sensor $700 rip off
04 Element 2.4 ltr engine. Don't waste the $700 bucks or so a Honda dealer will charge to change the knock sensor. I changed it in about 90 minutes in my driveway using a ratchet, combination of extensions, a universal joint and a 27 mm (1 1/16 inch) socket. I accessed it from below by removing the front engine bay cover. Got my fingers on the connector and removed it. Got the socket and extensions on it then went up top to get a hand on the ratchet and removed the sensor. If the universal joint flops too much wrap electricians tape around it to stiffen in. I then screwed in the new sensor from below and torqued it down from above. There's limited access but it can be done. A dealer will remove the intake manifold to gain access. NOT NEEDED!. After 70 miles of driving the CE light went out and has been out for a month. FIXED with $700 in my pocket and not some rip off dealership's....CHA CHING!!!
Good chance this applies to many Hondas with the 2.4 ltr engine.
