Super Turbine 300 Pump Gasket Leaking
St 300 Pump.bmp
I have a super turbine 300 transmission I had it apart used sealer on old gasket seemed ok now after some use it leaks looks like gasket is leaking not shaft seal I already tighten bolts still leaks a bit can one apply heat on pump edge just enough to make it warm not red hot to get this to seal? I believe it must be leaking on bottom part I do not think cover could be leaking on top as I believe there is no pressure on inside of pump cover. It seals when idling it is when rpm's go up it leaks. I used aviation form a gasket on the paper both sides and the o-ring, groove and edge were covered with blue silicon. |

Blue silicone? As in blue silicone RTV? That all needs to come out. The body O-ring should be lubricated with clean ATF or trans gel only.
Was the pump body bore (front of the trans) clean and undamaged, or were there nicks from disassembly/assembly?
