Quarter Window Replacement 2003 EDDIE Bauer
My right rear quarter window - electric - has come off its front hinges or mounting plates. I do not know how they are mounted, and need advice on how to remove the window and repair the mounting of the window. It has a hinge at rear part of the glass which opens outward when the button is pushed to open the window ELECTRICALLY. It must have a motor somewhere to move the glass. the left quarter window works fine.
ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS?? |

Re: Quarter Window Replacement 2003 EDDIE Bauer
My 05 doesn't have those windows, so I don't have experience with them. A search of another Expy forum came back with next to nothing. Only a reference to the actuator being held on with an "e" clip that you slide off. I suggest taking off the interior trim to give a good look at what is there. It should be a pretty simple setup. Be careful with the glass, it is tempered and designed to shatter under stress so that there aren't large shards to cause death in an accident. If you're not sure about how to remove the trim, search youtube for videos by FordTechmakuloco where he works on the rear heater. In them he goes into detail on the trim removal. Good luck.
