Canyon I5 NEW AC Compressor with PAG46 Oil
I am flushing the evaporator and condenser, and hoses. Bought a new expansion valve, new drier, and new GPD AC compressor. The AC compressor has a tag on it that says it has 6.5 oz of PAG 46 oil pre-installed. Numerous sources state that the correct oil amount is 4 oz. Do i dump 2.5 oz out before proceeding? Maybe I dump 3 oz and put .5 oz in the drier?

Re: Canyon I5 NEW AC Compressor with PAG46 Oil
Since you have flushed the system, one must assume it is void of oil- so put the total in called for on the under hood sticker- should be near 8 ozs- as in 99% of vehicles out there....or merely google "canyon refrigerant oil capacity"
