01 Bravada Smart Track Blues...

Hello all, I'm reposting this hear from before winter post in the Bravada form. Still having some issues with AWD on my 01 4.3 Vortex Bravada.

Yes, my Service AWD light is on...but will go out in a few days and come back on. When it is on, I get the multiple 'clicks' from the TCCM. Before winter I changed out the transfer case with the ACDELCO blue fluid as recommended, haven't flushed it as I intended, but i will.

Now, in the past months, if the light came on...I could take a hammer and tap on the encoder motor housing and it would go off. That was leading me to believe the encoder motor was bad...and when the AWD would kick in when spinning in the snow, it would like...'let go' release front wheels... Also leading me to suspect the encoder motor.

Also when making tight turns I get the slight binding or 'Crow Hop'...like I said I do intend on flushing out the trans case fluid with the ACDELCO 'blue' stuff ASAP.

Now that spring is here and no snow or traction issues...the damn light is on and clicking from psgr side kick panel where TCCM is located. It always does this when the light came on.

Instead of paying +$100 to just get the thing read at Chevy Dealer I might as well replace both TCCM and Encoder motor from junk yard for $50 each component. Curious if any of you had any issues with your TCCM's or encoder motors and could lend a piece of advice.

Thanks in advance...
