Please help!
Hey I have a ford bronco 2. It drives great but then I turn it off.... It will not re start for hours.... We have done a complete tune up, new battery, battery cables, and changed the fuel filter under the drivers seat, and had an oil change and service..... I have been told it was the catalytic converter or it is vapor locking. I do not believe it is the catalytic converter. But honestly I have no idea. When it won't start again it turns over great no loss of power.

Re: Please help!
Which engine? Is it the 2.8 carbureted or the 2.9 fuel injected?

Re: Please help!
Well generally fuel injection doesn't vapor lock. Cat wouldn't keep it from starting either.
When it won't start you need to find out what is missing. You need fuel, ignition, compression, and timing. I'm going to lay a wild guess out there that you won't have ignition when it won't start. If that's the case I would look to the notorious ignition control module. That thing left me stranded more than once when I had my Bronco 2 back in the day.

Re: Please help!
Okay I will look into that. Also it does this lurching while driving it. It did do it bad until we replaced the one fuel filter. Now it's not a big lurch but it is there still. Thank you for your I put! I do appreciate it!
