93 Tracer 1.9L chokes when accelerating
When I accelerate from a stop, the engine chokes down and takes about 10 seconds to finally rap up and go. Have checked for vacuum leaks, no luck. Appears to be heat related as the warmer the engine/transmission are, the longer it takes to move from a dead stop. Have replaced the Idle Air Control Valve, cleaned the MAS and checked the Throttle Sensor. It's either not getting enough air or gas or a combination of both. Any ideas?

Re: 93 Tracer 1.9L chokes when accelerating
having a similar problem. sometimes takes many cranks to start, then when pulling a load up hill or accelerating it bogs down. have been told to look at the egr valve, the O2 sensors and the ignition coils. have not done that yet. fuel filter was changed and
the pcv hose. will let you know when I fix mine. cannot find a odb 1 code reader to use before I take it to a shop so don't know what codes. no engine light coming on? |
