97 plymouth voyager limp mode 'A604'
the van i bought has very little reverse, when im on flat ground it will creep back slowly. anyways when it gets to third gear it wont engage, ive changed the output and the solonoid pack, still not working, but when i changed the pack two holes looked oddly dry, all the other holes ozzed fluid but those two didnt have much of any, could this be a clogged passage thats my issue, how would i fix it.

yea the general trans code i think p0740 and the 4th gear ratio code maybe p0735? i replaced the output sensor and the solenoid pack, changed the fluid filter, do you think its a missing ground? the infamous wire splice or a new transmission?

Kind of sounds like a ground or wiring problem. Check all the wiring and connections first you may get lucky.

Re: 97 plymouth voyager limp mode 'A604'
to just put a new ground, would it be ok to buy a ground strap and place it on one of the three bolts holding the solenoid pack down? or should it be somewhere else? and when i unplug the solenoid pack i still have no reverse. is there anyway to put power to the pack and see if i can manually get it or will i just ruin the pack?
