Check engine light reset.
I had replaced the left bank heater O2 Sensor on my 2005 Impala. The mechanic said it would take at least 80 miles for the car to reset.
Code was P0135. I used my new code reader and reset the light erasing the code. Since the sensor was replaced I am hoping the light will stay off , am I correct?

Re: Check engine light reset.
Sure, if it was in fact, the sensor itself that was the problem, and not something else.....
