Roadmaster Tube Sub
Im getting one for 10 dollars from a friend who owns a little like flea market, but its a store, and he has a roadmaster tube sub that he doenst know anything abot and says he will give it to me for 10. Are they worth installing or anything...please give me any info you have on these...
i already have a sysytem in my car which is a alpine cda9856 head unit, and a 600 watt alpine amp powering my JL 12 inch sub, but im just lloking at this to see if its worth giving to a friend who has a crappy car and doesnt want to put a bunch of money into it...and his rents wont let him... |

Those things are junk, but ive been to the point of getting what you can afford.
It wouldnt be worth the effort they dont produce much low end bump.

Cant remember who posted it but if you see it give yourself credit Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota. Cardomain |

i told him that it would prolly be crappy and he said he still wanted it, his rents wont let him get anything else really, and he doesnt want to spend the money, and he drives a crappy car he doesnt want to put alot of money into. Ill stick with my alpine and JL

I have one of those subs, it sounds good. I put a paper towel roll in the ports.I rapt the rolls on one end to fit the ports snugly, I used a wash cloth at first then found somthig els. If you play with the venting you can change the sound. I hope this helps..
