Can someone help me?
Hi everyone,
I don't know much about cars. I just passed my driver license road test. I want to buy a used car but I don't know how to choose. My budget is about $10000. I am considering Ford focus, Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla Can anyone tell me some tips when choosing a used car? eg. mileages, price, and insurance etc. |

Re: Can someone help me?
Don't buy from dealer. Look for private sale. Do your research via KBB.com or nada.com for used car prices. If you know a good mechanic, take him with you. And there is and asking price and a selling price. There are not the same.

Thanks.
I don't know any mechanic. What the difference between those prices? Is it reliable to find private sale? |

Re: Can someone help me?
Ask friends, teachers, coaches etc who they would recommend as a mechanic. It is no set figure. If I ask $2000 but will settle for $1700. Old saying, "Open your mouth or open your wallet". Just one of many Google searches.
