Axle removal

I've read the '95s don't have clips on the half-axles, but I have one that won't budge. Prying with a large bar and 3lb sledge.

Any advice to get this @@#%$ thing out? It needs to be replaced along with the clutch, and I don't really want to replace the clutch fighting with the trans because of an axle that won't budge.
