Recovering interior pieces
So many of you guys probably remember when I painted and dyed my whole interior black... Anything that was dyed is holding up great with no problems. However, the sun is starting to do some damage to a few things that were painted. Dash, door panels, etc...
I guess I wanted to start a thread on covering any other methods to redoing interior pieces. I was really thinking about things today and wondered about striping down the door panels and recovering them with actual black vinyl rather than trying to paint them again. Has anyone ever done this before? How did it turn out? Suggestions for it? Another thing I may try my hand at is making a few pieces in carbon fiber... Although I'm not sure how well it will go for me... Thoughts? Opinions? I'd like to get a good discussion going on this stuff...

No idea dude. Tint the windows some to stop the direct sun light?

Re: Recovering interior pieces
Definately tint windows. I think wrapping the panels is a good idea though I have never done it. I was always skeptical about how that rattle can paint/dye crap would hold up, so now we know.

Re: Recovering interior pieces
Don't get me wrong, the stuff has held up great for the most part. Everything that is dyed is still going good with nothing coming off of them. As for the painted pieces, the dash and door panels are the only spots having a problem where they are exposed to the sun.
