1999 Cabrio Dead battery - now these?

I had to charge the battery as it went completely dead. Put it on the charger - went to start it and alarm went off. Had to get out of car and lock and unlock the doors to stop that. Next after finally getting car to start, the engine light comes on and the car won't stay running. Finally get car to run and when I take if for a drive, it won't accelerate past 2000 rpms and cuts out. The radio doesn't want to work either. The car has been sitting for about a month and everyting was in working order before. What's the deal?
