2002 Envoy, no rear washer fluid
I followed all the tips here (fluid, hoses, kinks, fuses, relays, etc.) and applied power to the rear washer pump and it pumps ok. The rear washer switch seems to work fine; but suspect the washer button component of the switch may be bad. However, when I depress the button, it does activate the wiper for one sweep but not the washer.
Am I on the right track and would appreciate receiving tips on how to remove the switch? The Chilton manual I have seems to imply dismantaling most of the dash. Thanks....Dave Last edited by washind; 04-11-2011 at 09:13 AM. Reason: to add more info |

Did you try to hold the button down for more than one cycle? If the rear washer hasn't been used in a while it can dry out and take a few seconds for fresh fluid to travel back to the nozzle. The nozzle may also be plugged.
