Re: Real quick amp choice input...

I think they would all sound the same, especially running a sub. I would pick one based on does it fit where I need it too and does it look ok with the rest of my stuff (if it's all installed in the same area.

...you're kidding, right? A good amp can make a mediocre sub sound decent but you can have the best sub ever that's run by a pos amp and it'll sound like crap. The DA is a good sub. That's why I'm looking for a decent "bang for the buck" amp for it.

Kenwood KAC-8104D it is! Good reviews all over...not too expensive...500W RMS is good for my application. Good to go.

Re: Real quick amp choice input...

sorry, I wasn't suggesting you buy a flea market amp. I was saying class D amps of about 500 watts from a mainstream company are going to sound pretty much the same. This is because the disortion and non-linearities in speakers are like 10-100 times what even a poor amps specs are.

Oh ok. Got ya.

I ended up getting the Kenwood. 500W RMS should work well with the sub, I've had a Kenwood head unit for ever now and love it and I got a great deal on it off of ebay (135 bucks shipped)...should work out well.
