95 camaro LT1 runs good cold, when hot has issues

When the car is cold it runs great. However when you run it for about 30 minutes and shut it off, it won't run properly. The car won't accelerate like its supposede to, sometimes not at all, the exhaust backfires, but it idels how its supposed to. We have changed the ignition module, the spark plug wires, the O2 sensor and coil. We have also elevated the fuel lines off the valve covers and removed the air cover and replaced with something that doesnt cover the top of the motor. Any suggestions????

sounds like you may have cracked a plug puting them in or cat might be clogging up. also look for vaccumm leaks and also may be out of time.

Definately sounds like it could be ignition related. With that said, don't cheap out, get ACdelco replacements, it's worth the extra couple of bucks.

I'd also recomment changing out the PCV valve (should be done with every "tune up")

hmmmmm, plot thickens.

Your symptoms normally lead to an faulty ignition component.

Have you checked the fuel pressure out?

Re: 95 camaro LT1 runs good cold, when hot has issues

dont think fuel is issue, starts great. even when hot still starts and idles normal,, thinking bout coolant temp sensor being bad, coolant temp idiot lite comes on along with check engine, can run car at cold start no prob, run it 30/45 minute, shut off and try to drive after 30 minute cool down, wont accell past this point, could distrb box be issue after at norm running temp(direct drive timing)
