Bongo Insurance
Okay, here's another question!
When phoning/getting on-line quotes for insurance, what do people quote the Bongo as being? I've tried various on-line companies like Tesco but the Bongo isn't listed. I've also telephoned and they get stuck and say they can't quote on it! Help! |

Re: Bongo Insurance
This all depends whether you purchase it as an 8 seater, or get it converted. For 8 seaters, Tesco will do it if you tell them you have a "motor caravanette". And if thery are still confused, tell them it is similar to a Mazda MPV. But if you go for a conversion, it is best to go to Safeguard or Campton.

We have recently purchased a Bongo Friendee 1997 with fitted kitchenette in the rear and the best quote I got was from the caravan club 0800 652 3696. I guess it depends on where you live, age, no claims bonus, convictions etc, but I managed to get a stack of decent quotes by looking on the interent. If you have any problems searching, try www.allsearchengines.co.uk

Hi
We just bought our Bongo 2 weeks ago... An unconverted version with a pop up roof. (more expensive to insure with Comptons because it was not converted as a camper) We got insurance with Direct Line. They couldn't find it initially but finally found the Bongo as an Quote:
Tesco also have it as an E Bongo, rather than a Bongo. Neither company were able to do an online quote, but both helpful over the phone. |

Re: Bongo Insurance
Just got insured by one of the companies advertised in the owners club. Mine is with Suretravel and (depends of no-claims and where you live) came to be £320 includes AA memnership, european coverage & £2K of camping equipment. Tescos was £65 more expensive and had to pay extra for europe, no caming cover neither.
Shop around but i am quite pleased with Suretravel. Go-bon-go! |

Re: Bongo Insurance
The best deal on Mazda Bongo Friendee insurance that I have found was with a specialist broker, 2GetherFS - 01945 585322
Price busting comp insurance and a really friendly team in the UK based office! Found out about them through a new Mazda Bongo Friendee / Ford Freda club! Simes
