94 Astro AWD - front brakes?
94 Astro AWD.
Wife returned home after leaving for work. She said that the astro wouldn't go above 50mph and seemed to be running rough. When she got home noticed some smoke coming from underneath. Thought it could be tire smoke. Anyhow, restarted and it seemed to be running fine. We had a couple of rear brake lines repaired a couple of months ago so I suspected it might be another brake issue. Nothing apparent but I went to feel the tires and the right front felt warmer than the rest. I put the van in gear and noticed that it hardly wanted to roll either forward or reverse, and you had to get substantial power to it to get it to roll. Could the right front be hung up? Am I on the right avenue? Thanks. |

You are on the right track. Wife.com did the same in our 95 last summer.

Caliper piston might be stuck in the bore, hardware might be stuck, or the most likely culprit would be a collapsed flex hose to the right caliper.
