Anyone has experience removing and installing a Heater Core in a 1990 929 ? What is the level of difficulty?

I would suggest you get a haynes manual or go to the library. It depends on how skilled you are. I would estimate at at least a full day maybe two if you don't know where everything is located. You also have to disconnect the air cond. and recharge when done. If you aren't scared to try get a rental and start on the weekend or work in the evening until done.

Re: 1990 Mazda 929 Heater Core
i currently have the heater core removed from my 91. first off it is a labor intesive job you will have to remome the bolts that hold the dash in to you can gain access to the the core to pull it uot and down. the ac will have to be disconnected and re charged. if you have the new core it should take you the better part of a day to complete the job but as i found out a new heater core was 365 bucks and dealer item only that is the only true pain in the ass .
