I have a '96 lumina 3.1L. It has 102,000 miles, and runs great. I am kind of a picky bugger when it comes to things working right. If it isn't doing what it was supposed to do I want to fix it.
The issue is with my low oil light. Personally I would rather have the gadge instead of the "idiot light" as my father calls them. Anyway, The low oil light goes on even though I have full new oil. I suspect that it is just the sensor that is going, but was curious if it may be something else that I don't know about.
The light goes off occasionally, but then comes back at random times. It seems to come on more frequently when my oil is old, maybe around 2000 miles or so. I am not burning/leaking oil. I think that is all of the relevant info I can give. Any feedback would be appreciated.
