Exclamation 1987 Ford Mustang power window problem!

I recently purchased a 1987 Ford Mustang from a friend. The car is in amazing condition. One of the only real concerns I have is that the driver side power window is succombing to what appears to be a common problem for this make of vehicle.

The problem is that when fully raised the power window doesn't fully seal since it starts to get crooked.

I have a copy of Modified Mustangs and Fords magazine that talks about growing commonality of the problem but doesn't really outline any solid fixes.

Being mechanically inclined and an avid do-it-yourselfer I purchased the repair manual. The manual is too vague and doesn't list parts, part numbers or the specifics of what is actually contained inside the door that facilitates proper activation of the window.

If anybody has any experience, or diagrams on how to fix this issue, I would greatly appreciate any help that you could offer.
