ac vent issue
Since you guys were able to help me out with my heat issue maybe you can help me out with my vent problem.
When I turn on the ac or heat, it only comes out of the defroster on the top of the dash. It does not matter what vent setting I have it on. My buddy has the same problem with his mid 90's Caprice, also an LT1. I have a 97 z. His started after he had the tranny replaced, mine started a few month before I had my tranny replaced. Is there a possible connection that has come loose or out that I can check on both our cars? Thanks for any help you can provide. |

Re: ac vent issue
On the older cars, the diverters were operated by vacuum, not sure on yours tho, nor do I can I think right off the bat what the connection between tranny work and this have with each other other thn the vacuum line got knocked off.

Re: ac vent issue
Would you be able to point in the direction of the location of the vacuum line and connection points?

Re: ac vent issue
Usually it's a hardened plastic line that goes up by the brakebooster then through the firewall. In the dash, it's purple. This of vacuum operated situations.
