Nsr 500 Checa 1998
my last bike.
first photos at 90% finished. i think that the most important to soy of this bike is the haard work with decals. Very big decals. I used a lot of mark setter and microsol... one decal was broken. next step, more work with exaust. i hope somebody like it. gracias |

Re: Nsr 500 Checa 1998
Great job !
I have a question about Checa's NSR: is the main frame really chrome or is the tamiya original part accurate ? I found this kit in July Sales off and am trying to build it (first bike ever) but I feel a bit lost coming from cars models... thanks for the answer |

I think that if you come from cars you dont have any problem. (i´m a military modeller , thats another world.) the problem of this bike are the super size of the decals. For this model dont forget to buy "blue x-4 from tamiya" |

Thanks for the answer. So if I understood well the main frame is really chrome. I have a chrome can at home and I may try to spray some paint over the tamiya part then... I feel a bit lost not regarding modelling skills or something like that but more regarding my knwoledges of the motorbike domain...! I never saw any moto GP except on TV whereas I go to several rallies to get reference pics. So that may not be my last question here Thanks again, especially for X-4 tip |

Re: Nsr 500 Checa 1998
The frame is "polished Aluminum" it looks similar to the bottom of an Aluminum beer can or soda can maybe a little more shiny.

Re: Nsr 500 Checa 1998
oops, so no I didn't understand well...
Miguel wasn't doing another better alternative choice but he was doing the right choice ! Thanks Mark, ok polished aluminium so the Tamiya part is better than spraying Chrome...! I'll do with it. thanks guys. |
