Lightbulb Welcome to Automotive News Desk

Welcome to AF's newest forum!

This forum is intended for AF members to share and discuss the latest happening in the industry; did the GM CEO get fired? How is the Nissan revival plan going? Are the general vehicle sales up or down?

Well, you get the drift

I hope everyone takes advantage of this new forum to stay on top of the auto industry and have fun at the same time!

Yeah, I get your drift. You basicily want us to talk about the auto industry. I think we can handle that.

Auto Industry Hopes For Diesel Comeback

Automakers hope fuel efficient diesel models will help offset the low fuel economy ratings of their gas-guzzling SUV's and large pick-ups. 2006 will see federally mandated clean diesel fuel hitting the market so they have to be ready.

Re: Welcome to Automotive News Desk

Anyone know why Chilton or Haynes manuals aren't available for vehicles newer than '01? At least that's what they tell me at Auto Zone and Pep Boys.
Thanks

Re: Welcome to Automotive News Desk

I know that O'Reilly Auto Parts has Chilton and Haynes manuals for '01 and later because I work there part-time.

Contact your local dealership....I know we can order them for Chrysler, Dodge and Jeeps, and have the manual sent right to your house. These are the actual manuals that the mechanics use. They average 90-120 canadian dollars.
