Re: Pursuit G5 problem!
actualy i have found a problem with the pursuit.
i have a 2006 4 door 5spd with 24462.0 km on it and my tranny went on it already. did you know that on the end of the shifting fork gm put a plastic cover, this is has melted and damaged my first and second grears... they are now being replaced by gm under waranty. but the big thing that upsets my is that the mechanic is blaming me because i rest my hand on my shifter inbetween shifts.... now i don't know anyone who doesn't do that , elbow on the center councel and hand draped over the shifter . anyway i'm done ranting now but if any one else has heard of tis let me know or if you din't know about it then here's a heads up . |

Re: Pursuit G5 problem!
You are not the only unlucky soul to find a problem with a pursuit. I purchased a 2006 pursuit from a local used car dealer with 23,000kms on it last Dec 06. Since then I have had the following replaced under warranty:
1. Right front strut; 2. Sway bar linkage; 3. Entire steering colum; 4. Rack and pinion; 5. All door window seals due to excessive road noise; 6. All door handles because they were sticking or broken; and 7. Front brakes and rotors cleaned because the car was jumping when I applied the brakes hard. The first four problems were for a rattling noise in the front end. Problem is, they still have not fixed the rattle. I have contacted GM Canada and I have been told that it is in the hands of their technical advisors and there is nothing else they can do for me. Has anyone else had any of these problems with their car? The head mechanic at the dealership told me that this was not an isolated incident and that more cars were affected. |
