Vanilla Cream on my motor oil stick
Hi Guys!!
I added motor oil in my 95 aerostar I poured it to the engine oil mouth. 2 weeks later I checked my oil and the oil stick is covered with yellow cream like vanilla all the way to the top of the stick. Since then I checked it 3 times and the cream still there. I looked at the manual on line I put the oil in the right place in my other cars it said motor oil cap. and the aerostar say engine oil cap. Before I add the oil the light was on warned to check oil and I did it was very low that is why I added and I checked the oil again and it was on the minimum level so, I know it was added to the correct mouth. But what is the cream? Where is came from??? Anyone can say something about it? thank you Joy |

Which motor do you have?
Only thing i can think of is a blown headgasket.

Re: Vanilla Cream on my motor oil stick
dont know. could be moisture in the engine. did the level actually rise on the dipstick? If so that would be an idication of antifreeze leaking past your pistons...

Re: Vanilla Cream on my motor oil stick
moisture is a possibilty, but usually its only on the oil cap and not the dipstick.. (in the only cases ive seen it, it was on the oil cap)

Re: Vanilla Cream on my motor oil stick
Sounds like you are getting coolant into the oil. Usually its a blown head gasket causing this, but it could also be a cracked head (not likely). A sure way of telling is to monitor the oil and coolant levels. The oil will increase in volume and the coolant will decrease. Another possibility is that losing oil pressure could have damaged the engine.
