94 supreme or 90 stanza?
Hey all! New here but think these forums are the best I've seen so far so I'm needing some advice. Looking at 2 cars to buy-'94 Cutlass and '90 Stanza.
Olds has 69,856 on it, body and int. A-1, and came in with a bad EGR and coil pack. These were replaced new and then the low coolant light came on. My guy says they F&Fd it and checked all he thought it could be when, alas, the CE light pops on. He thought it might be a gasket issue, but hasn't had time to check it out since he runs the whole tow and garage business virtually by himself. The '90 Stanza has a new engine (6mos.) and radiator replaced w/ it. Fuel tank may need replaced since it has sat for a few months ($20 at the U-Pull-It). Body and Int. are immaculate. Guy wants $300 for the Stanza and $600 for the Olds. Since I need a car asap, my questions are -major or minor probs with Olds -what to check on Olds that might explain the LC and CE lts. coming on -trust the older Stanza -which is the deal? -Any owners of these with similar probs? any advice is appreciated!! |
