Could use some Sonoma advice.
I'm looking to buy my first truck. A friend of a friend of mine is selling a 1994 GMC Sonoma for $3000 Canadian. It's an extended cab automatic with 212 XXX KM's. No engine problems at all. Should I purchase it? What is the average life expectancy of a Sonoma Motor?

Re: Could use some Sonoma advice.
your in luck my friend, i just so happen to have bought my first truck (and vehicle for that matter) a couple of weeks ago. it was a 1994 GMC Sonoma Ext cab, with 4.3L v6. i also happen to live in canada.
the truck has 202000 km on it and i only payed 1200 for it. i had to put about 600 in repairs and 200 in body work into it to get it saftey'd, but its all good now. i personally think that you are over paying, but then again my truck had rotted panels and shot brakes when i bought it. i really enjoy driving in this truck, and from what iv seen, the other people in my city with this type of truck (2nd gen v6 s10, sonoma, jimmy) so far iv seen 5 with 350k+ on there engines. i recomend the truck, just not the price |
