90 s-10 With fule injector problems

My friend has an S-10 that was running fine but he went and replaced the cap and rotor and the plugs. and after he was done the truck would not start. He check to make sure he had all the wires back in place right and he did. He sprayed gas down the carburetorand it would run but when he did spray it down there it would shut off or wouldn't run. He check all of his connectors and cleaned them all but still no luck. Can anyone help with suggestions???????????

Take a close look at the distributor connections, especially the HEI switching module. The ECM gets reference pulses from the distributor to time the injector pulses. Without thes pulses, the injectors will not operate.
