clutch problem

hi, so my clutch has been acting up for a while being really mushy. First I replaced the master cylinder and that didnt do anything so i replaced the slave and now its still doing the same thing. theres about 2 inches of play in the pedal before you can feel any pressure. Is this the springs?

Re: clutch problem

Have you tried adjusting the play of the actuator rod that runs through the firewall into the master cylinder? I assume that you have already bled the system.

Re: clutch problem

Bad lines, in-proper bleeding, pedal freeplay adjustment
