Cool High Pitched Engine Sound upon Acceleration

I have a 98 Isuzu Rodeo and recently upon acceleration over 40 mph a high-pitched buzzing sound is occurring. I live in CS CO and just had the a full-service fuels change/check by Jiffy Lube. This has not occurred before and I would just like to know if it is something that I need to get checked by a master care auto service or if it will dissipate on its own.

Thanks so much, Cherish

Re: High Pitched Engine Sound upon Acceleration

Could be ANY number of things.

Can you list other details? For example, can you hear it in the cabin; or only with the window down; does it sound like it's coming from the engine, transmission, or tires?

Is the noise only heard through heater vents maybe??

Also, you said they just checked all of your fluids, pop your hood and make certain they put your oil fill cap back on - you'd be surprized!

Re: High Pitched Engine Sound upon Acceleration

is it possible they knocked an engine ground loose or got oil somewhere they shouldn't have (belts, alt pulleys)
