For the fuel pressure regulator:
www.trueleo.com/fpr.htm ... you would not want a front mount intercooler on an MR2.

Re: Need (After Market) Fuel Pressure Regulator/ front Mount Intercooler
A few reasons:
1. You would have to give up serious interior space to route proper sized lines from the back to the front and back again. 2. You are talking about a massive volumn of air to pressurize everytime you get off throttle or shift. My large TMIC does not seem to be bad at re-pressurizing, but I would not want to see the difference adding another 15-17 feet of pipes. There is one MR2 that did a Front-mount and they ran the pipes right through the middle of the interior. It really makes no sense to do. People are getting amazing cooling with trunk-mounts.

TMIC, is a trunk mount inter cooler, WAIC is water to air inter cooler, and AWIC is air to water, right? At least that is what I have been reading about in the forums.
What do AWICs and WAICs do? Why is there water involved? A TMIC would be like Warren's 500hp MR2's inter cooler right? Are the stock IC's on an MR2 side mounted? |

Re: Need (After Market) Fuel Pressure Regulator/ front Mount Intercooler
Stock MR2s have a side mount air-to-air IC.
Some people go to an A2W (air to water). As the name implies, the air is cooled by water (instead of ambient air). There are also top-mount ICs available that mount above the tranny. Then there are trunk mounts. Here is mine: http://www.jekylhyderacing.com/hyde_tmic_buildup.htm
