91 Mazda 323 DOHC Timing belt broke...

Is this an interference engine or not? I don't remember the liter size but I know it is a DOHC engine, which they told me at the parts store only came on Protege's...and the old lady told me it was a 323.

I don't think it is. I believe your engine is under the 2 liter size.

GREAT site. I saved it for future reference. Though I think all they offered that year in DOHC was a 1.5L, which wasn't listed. Go figure. Thanks.
