coilover noise
i installed my coilovers a week ago and the back left coilover makes a tapping noise when i hit bumps. when i adjusted the spring height i noticed that the rear springs were lose when i had the car jacked up. i could move the spring as if it were loose. do you think that is why it is making noises when i hit bumps because the spring is loose?

umm...
What Coilovers do you have? and also by adjusting the spring height you just changed the spring load rating of them....

will it do any good to adjust the damper to a softer setting? i have never had coilovers and they are alot more complex than standard spring/strut setups

you should be able to move the springs since hiper drags cant be preloaded. which may be the problem... most of the better single height adjustables have a tender spring to keep the spring loaded so they wont rattle. Could be a blown shock? |
