Resetting the change oil message on 99' SEL
OK boys & girls I tried following the reset method in the book but I could not get it to work. Can someone tell me in english how to reset it? I am sick of seeing that my oil needs to be changed every time I start the van!
Thanks Mike |

Re: Resetting the change oil message on 99' SEL
I've got the same model ... resetting the oil change notice is an absolute "dog"! There's almost no time allowed for punching the "reset" when you're supposed to.
I find the following helps a little: 1. Under "setup", select the "dual display" option for the message board. 2. While attempting to reset oil notice to 100%, have the engine idling. ... by keeping the instrument cluster busier, the above seems to slow down the message board response time a bit ... to allow you to input info better. |
