rain water leaking into passenger floor
I am sure it is not the AC water leaking in, is there a known spot for rain to leak in. On my Grand PRix there was weather stripping near bottom of windshield, under the wiper cowl. anything like that on the van?

Re: rain water leaking into passenger floor
When do you notice the water- after a car wash? rain storm?. Does it have an odor- sweet smell?

after rain
yes, after a heavy rain, sitting in the driveway over night, its wet next morning. No smell, no loss of coolant.

Re: rain water leaking into passenger floor
I would suggest you remove the wiper arms and the windschield cowling. This is a two-piece assembly that has gasketed surfaces in spots. While the cowling is removed, you can inspect the plastic cabin air supply plenum that attaches to the firewall ... again, a gasketed assembly.
Also check to see that the drain hoses are in place to drain the ac and the heater cavities ... from the cabin space to the engine enclosure. Look the firewall over to make sure all grommets are in place ... around harnesses, etc. Good luck! |
