crank / gear problem
'96 1.3 liter: I found oil leaking from the timing cover, so I pulled it off. I found the lower seal leaking, but when I pulled the gear off the crank I noticed that the gear is rubbing the front cover (oil pump housing). I can't find any endplay in the crank, so I'm wondering if there is supposed to be a shim or thrust washer behind the gear. I can't tell if the gear is bottoming out on the cover or on the crank shoulder. Any ideas???
