new engine....help

well i bought an engine from ebay , those engines are from japan, but they bring them to california, and they send them to any state

my problem is that i put the new engine to the z, but its running rough, i thought it could be a cylinder, and i did the test from each coil, when i pull out number 6, nothing happened, the engine didnt drop, and when i put it back it didnt run smoothier...

it could be that the cylinder, because the engine probabily have been sitting for a long time, the cylinder needs more time to warm and then they it will work?

today i put the engine into my car, but rite now i feel like i am missgin power...
is this normal when you do a swap?

Re: new engine....help

Most JDM Engines need either a rebuild or a very fine tune up. Thats just the fact of buying engines off Ebay, that have been sitting in a container for years.

I would say take it to a mechanic and let them tweek it.

Re: new engine....help

I agree with ZedEx on this one. It sounds like its just a minor need of a tune up and some tweeking since its been sitting. That and no two engines run the same.
