2002 4.7 4x4 Club cab sport Plus Automatic, tow package, oversized offroad tires, cd/cass,

Flowmaster 40 series Muffler $75. I put this in place of the stock and kept the original turn down to route the exhaust outlet behind the rear tire. This resulted in a aggressive sound that could barely be heard in the cab. I tried it without the turndown from the muffler back and loved the sound. I had to make a custom support for the muffler since the old support mounted to the section I removed. I put a 30 degree turn down right after the muffler so now the exhaust ends under the bed. The sound is impressive -turns heads and sounds great. You can hear the exhaust in the cab which I like.

Larger mudders Dunlop Mudd Rovers 265 75 r16 $92 tirerack.com (barely clear in full turn -otherwise plenty of room) originals were 265 70 r16 -I do get road noise from the new Mudders and the ride is harder since the new tires are 8 ply and the old ones were 4. Also stopping distance has increased because of the tire weight, they are much heavier than the stock goodyear rt/s. Offroad they really perform -mud everywhere! Rain does not seem to be an issue. Soon I will know how they do in the snow.
